OFDI, Industrial Structure Upgrading and Green Development—Spatial Effect Based on China’s Evidence

Green economic development is a worldwide concern. This paper not only contributes to the advancement of studies pertaining green but also offers policy recommendations for China achieve and low-carbon transformation from perspective outward foreign direct investment (OFDI) industrial structure. A mechanism effects OFDI structure upgrading on total factor productivity (GTFP) proposed in this study. Based measurement analysis evolution characteristics GTFP level 30 provinces (municipalities autonomous regions) 2004 2019, spatial Durbin model applied test their effects. The findings demonstrate that (1) overall trend China’s upward, with obvious regional non-equilibrium dependence; (2) both can promote independently, spillover effect Industrial being more evident; (3) synergistic between greater than rationalization, regions comparable surrounding regions; (4) view different levels openness regions, independent coastal non-coastal are heterogeneous. Therefore, should optimize OFDI, efficiency resource allocation, maximize technology spillover, strengthen interregional cooperation order transform towards economy.
